My photography journey feels like an unexpected gift from the Lord (which it is!), but if I look back at my life, from a young age I have always leaned my hand towards artistic things. I was "that friend" who had to stop and take a picture of everything. I have made a hobby of finding beauty in small, overlooked things, and I thrive on creating my own aesthetic. I studied Professional Writing in college, which is probably why I see photography as an opportunity to document stories.

I aim to capture people as they truly are, the beauty that already exists around them and the stories already written in their lives. I am all about real stories, candid moments, authentic emotions, and genuine expressions of love. To me, photography is about building personal relationships with people to let their photos capture their legacy. My faith in a holy, sovereign Creator is what influences how I approach photography. That is why I am here - to know you & use my gift to serve you.

My approach is one first and foremost relational - to know you and to see your love story through my lens. I have invested years of experience and education into a fine balance between documentary & editorial while holding candids as the ultimate treasure. "A Gentle Witness" means I know how to hold both direction and observation through all the moving pieces and relationships that come together on a wedding day. When to speak up and when to step back. It’s not about my vision or my timeline or my direction. It's about your memories, your presence, your life, your joy.

Through the whole process, I will ask intentional questions to help you pause and ponder ways you can add extra intentionality and be fully present on your day. A wedding day gets a lot of pressure to be perfect, but I'm here to focus on the day for the unique, only-to-you treasures it holds. It probably won't be a perfect day, and I hope it won't be the best day of your whole life... It will be a really good start to a whole new story together. The best is yet to come; that's all a wedding day marks.

When I am not holding a camera, I am holding a large cup of coffee. I am equal parts beach bum & mountain girl and I simply cannot chose between my two loves. I prefer to fill silence with music, podcasts, or humming to myself. I can never seem to satisfy the itch to explore new places and meet new people which is how photography (especially elopements) seemed to fit so easily into my life. I am married to my BEST friend (truly, we were friends first for 3 years) and we made my dream of being a boy mom come true, though the new dream is to continue growing our family.
In the little moments of "spare" time I find, I'll fill it with thrifting, reading, hosting friends at our house, or discussing theology and/ or conspiracy theories with my husband. A huge goal of mine is to slowly thrift a fully curated home. Things that make me smile from the inside out: biblical truth, my husband, coffee, grandmacore, vintage trinkets, natural light, the ocean, tall pine trees, meeting new people, and making a house feel like home.
